This Historian Programming

This site will function as the portal to my work for the course.

My project will be focusing on applying text-mining and data analysis to hymn texts. As a data source, I will be using the wonderful archive at hymnary.org.

I am interested in uncovering patterns across traditions in the language of the hymns. I will also being some initial geospatial investigations into the spread of particular songs.
